what makes this training different?

There are many prenatal yoga teacher trainings available today, which is amazing that yoga teachers now have more options for teacher trainings. More prenatal yoga teachers means more class options for pregnant women.  What sets this training apart is the desire to provide yoga teachers with an unbiased, non-judgemental approach and instructional skills to facilitate classes specific to pregnancy, labor & birthing. This training is geared toward educating yoga teachers and fitness professionals on the postural and philosophical aspects of yoga for expectant women, the importance of unbiased support in the classroom and neutral language that respects all pregnancy, labor and birthing options available to women.

Addressing the needs of pregnant women requires open-minded, neutral, non-prescriptive instruction. Trainees will discuss the stigmas associated with yoga as it relates to pregnancy, labor and birthing outcomes.  The aim of this training is to provide yoga teachers and fitness professionals with the ability to create holistic prenatal yoga practices that are inclusive of all pregnant women, all laboring options and all birthing outcomes.
